Dickinson Park District owns 1,763 acres of parkland and green space which is comprised of 31 developed parks, 9 future park areas, and pedestrian trails. The Park District also manages 14 facilities that can be seen throughout the website. If there’s something you don’t find, please feel free to let us know.

to Explore
Art Classes (Winter)
Learn new sills through our introductory class by using a variety of steps, techniques, and chance to expand new ideas by using different mediums. Materials are provided.
$15/class - sign up for one class or for all!
(You will choose your class dates during the registration process)
CLASS DATES: Mondays - February 5, 12, 26 & March 4, 2024
ART-TASTIC | Ages 6-8 | 4:00-5:00 pm
Each week we'll complete three different activities during our hour together.
- February 26th - 3D Winter mugs & bubble gum blowing selfies
- March 8th - we will be painting a canvas of a Scottish Highland Cow
- February 26th - Piet Mandarian - Style of Art: Modern Art - Activities: Guitar on Canvas- Acrylics
- March 4th - Andy Warhol - Style of Art: Pop Art - Activities: Mixed Media
- Registration deadline is the Thursday prior to session.

Lazy River 5Day 5K
It's a Lazy River 5K in 5 Days! Join us for a challenging self-paced 5K in our lazy river, either inside WRCC or outside at the outdoor pool. Instead of running or walking on pavement to complete a 5K this summer, enjoy the refreshing experience of being in the pool. Walk backwards, forwards, against or with the current and complete your water walking 5K in 5 days or less.
Water walking shoes are highly recommended.

- Monday - Friday, 12-7 pm (adults only 10 am-12 pm)
- 108 laps = 3.1 miles
- Monday - Friday, 5:30 am-8:30 pm (adults only 8-10 am)

Playzone
Come play at our "house!" We will have gross motor equipment, building blocks, jumping animals and toys set-up. Children can move about safely in our enclosed MAC gym area and have access to the indoor playground. Playtime music will be played and theme based crafts will be set-up for children.
- No pre-registration necessary.
- Cost is $4/drop-in fee or free with WRCC membership.
- Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Curling League (Winter)
Grab your friends and form your teams to compete in this competitive fun-filled league. Two seasons are offered, Fall and Winter. Get your registration in early – max of 16 teams!

Learn-to-Curl Instruction: November 19 & 26 (5:00-7:00 pm) – WRIC New Arena
*This instruction is MANDATORY for any team that did not participate in last season’s fall or winter league.

Badlands Self-Paced Triathlon (Fall)
Workout at your own pace with 40 days to reach your goal!
Choose your division below and register for the division you would like to compete in, and set your own pace. We will rely on the honor system for all competitors when recording their mileage totals. Reach your goal by the end of the event and receive a t-shirt.
DIVISIONS:
- Ultra Ironman – 4.8 mile swim, 52.4 mile run/walk, 224 mile bike
- Ironman – 2.4 mile swim, 26.2 mile run/walk, 112 mile bike
- Tinman – 1.25 mile swim, 13.1 mile run/walk, 56 mile bike
- Olympic – 1 mile swim, 6.2 mile run/walk, 24.8 mile bike
- Sprint – 750 meter swim, 3.1 mile run/walk, 12.4 mile bike
- Keep track of your totals and turn in your LOG SHEET on or before the deadline.
- Activity miles may be completed at WRCC or outdoors.
- Indoor Track | 5 laps = 1 mile
- Outdoor Path | 1 lap = 1.1 miles
- Lazy River | 1 mile = 54 times around
- Lap Pool | 25 yards (1 length) | 1 mile = 36 laps
- Yards to Meters Conversion | 1 yard = .9144 meters OR 25 yards = 22.86 meters

3×3 Basketball League
Sign up for our competitive, half court adult Men's 3x3 Basketball League! Participation in this program is a great way to jump start your basketball skills, making sure you are ready for the full court season this winter. League is open to all men ages 18+ (high school ineligible).
