Summer Art
Welcome to Summer Art where students will have the opportunity to develop essential skills while using a variety of supplies to create unique projects that showcase their own creative expression. Each week will feature new goals and exciting projects to spark creativity. All supplies are included.
Registration deadline is the Wednesday prior to each session.

STRONGkids
Dickinson Parks & Recreation has partnered with the Best Friends Mentoring Program to offer a FREE program that will focus on goal setting, building confidence & promoting a healthy lifestyle. This program will include skill-building opportunities, physical activities, and small group mentoring. In addition to individual workouts, participants will be doing the following activities: Pickleball, rock wall, racquetball and cycling.
Requirements:
- Snacks will be provided.
- Please wear tennis shoes and comfortable active clothing.
- Bring a water bottle.
- Program capacity will be determined by the number of volunteer coaches.
- If transportation is needed, please contact Best Friends Mentoring at 701-483-8615.
- A climbing wall waiver is required and must be turned in on the first day of program. Waiver will be emailed with registration receipt.

Pickleball Nights
Pickleball Dinkers RECREATION Nights
A one-night round-robin tournament designed for 2.5-3.0 level players and seniors. In this round-robin, participants will play a game to 15 or in 8 minutes, whatever happens first. If you're new to the games or looking for more recreation-style games this is the round-robin for you! (We may remove you from this group depending on what the Program Supervisor rates your skill level as). Recreation Nights:- April 8; May 13

Pickleball Dinkers COMPETITIVE Nights
Are you looking to test your pickleball skills against other competitive players? Our Dinkers Competitive Nights are for players who rank themselves as 3.25+ skill level. Games will be to 15-minutes or 8 points, whatever happens first. The highest-scoring person wins the night. (We may remove you from this group depending on what the Program Supervisor rates your skill level as). ----- Competitive Nights:- April 15; May 20

Do you think you're the king of the court? We'll play games to 11 points or 15 minutes, whatever happens first. Can you go on a hot streak and stay on the king's court when the time runs out?

Little Artists
In this class children ages 2-5 will be making a holiday themed craft. Participants will be able to work on their sensory and fine motor skills while getting messy! We provide the materials, the fun and the clean up!

The only class that you can play with your food! Food Art is a fun way to try new foods and be creative with snacks for your littles.

Art Classes (Winter)
Learn new sills through our introductory class by using a variety of steps, techniques, and chance to expand new ideas by using different mediums. Materials are provided. Projects can be taken home.

Playzone
Come play at our "house!" We will have gross motor equipment, building blocks, jumping animals and toys set-up. Children can move about safely in our enclosed MAC gym area and have access to the indoor playground. Playtime music will be played and theme based crafts will be set-up for children.

Santa Hotline
Hey Kids! Santa wants to know what’s on your Christmas list!
Sign up to receive a phone call from the North Pole and help Santa and his elves get ready for Christmas Day. Phone calls will be made to registered participants from 5:00-7:00 pm on the night you choose. We only ask that you are available from 5-7 pm as we cannot guarantee a return call for missed calls.
Deadline to register is 4:00 pm on day of event.

Elementary Cross Country
Elementary Cross Country is a great way to introduce the youth of Dickinson and surrounding communities to the sport of cross country. Kids will have the chance to compete in their age group. Meets are held each Wednesday in September.

Badlands Self-Paced Triathlon
Workout at your own pace with 40 days to reach your goal!
This NEW summer triathlon is focused on getting people out to enjoy the parks and facilities for the summer. Walk a new trail each day, enjoy a bike ride around the Crooked Crane Trail, lap swim at the WRCC indoor pool or water walk in the sun at the outdoor pool.
Choose your division below and register for the division you would like to compete in, and set your own pace. We will rely on the honor system for all competitors when recording their mileage totals. Reach your goal by the end of the event and receive a t-shirt.
DIVISIONS:
- Ultra Ironman – 4.8 mile swim, 52.4 mile run/walk, 224 mile bike
- Ironman – 2.4 mile swim, 26.2 mile run/walk, 112 mile bike
- Tinman – 1.5 mile swim, 13 mile run/walk, 56 mile bike
- Olympic – 1 mile swim, 6 mile run/walk, 24 mile bike
- Sprint – 750 meter swim, 3 mile run/walk, 12 mile bike
- Keep track of your totals and turn in your LOG SHEET on or before the deadline.
- Activity miles may be completed at WRCC or outdoors.
- Indoor Track | 5 laps = 1 mile
- Outdoor Path | 1 lap = 1.1 miles
- Lazy River | 1 mile = 54 times around
- Lap Pool | 25 yards (1 length) | 1 mile = 36 laps
- Yards to Meters Conversion | 1 yard = .9144 meters OR 25 yards = 22.86 meters
