Dickinson Parks & Recreation has partnered with the Best Friends Mentoring Program to offer a FREE program to offer a program focused on goal setting, building confidence, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. This program includes skill-building activities, physical exercises, and small group mentoring to help participants grow.
Requirements:
- Incoming Grades 6-8
- Snacks will be provided.
- Wear tennis shoes.
- Bring a water bottle

The STRONGkids Program in partnership with Best Friends Mentoring Program has received the North Dakota Recreation & Parks Association (NDRPA) 2024 Innovative Programming Award. The Innovative Programming Award recognizes and honors an NDRPA member agency or organization that demonstrates leadership with advanced groundbreaking ideas in programming.

Pickleball Nights
WELCOME to Pickleball Nights! Whether you want to play recreationally or are a little more competitive, we have some fun nights for you! You'll find below Dinker Nights and King of the Court Nights--either way, you will need a DUPR rating to participate this year. See instructions.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- A DUPR rating is now required to participate—please be sure to create an account and follow the DPRD club on the DUPR website prior to the event. If you need help creating an account, stop by the DPRD office for assistance.
- Level: The Program Supervisor may adjust your group placement based on your skill level assessment.

Pickleball Beginner Lessons
Join us for a one night crash course designed to enhance your pickleball game! Whether you're new to the game or looking to improve your dinking, serving, or understanding of the rules, this class has it all. Through mini-games and drills, you'll sharpen your skills and gain confidence on the court. DAYS:- October 5

Pickleball Skills & Drills
This one night class is designed for 3.0+ level players who are eager to refine their skills. Focus on improving your 3rd shot drop, dinking, court placement, hitting targets, and more through targeted drills and practice. DAYS:- October 19

Pickleball (Youth)
Pickleball for Kids

Little Dinkers
No partner is needed to join - players will rotate partners throughout the night. Each session includes 5 short games and participants will accumulate points individually based on their performance in each game. This is a great opportunity for young players to enjoy the game in a more competitive environment while building skills, confidence, and sportsmanship in a supportive and energetic setting. Art-Mazing
Learn new sills through our introductory class by using a variety of steps, techniques, and chance to expand new ideas by using different mediums. Materials are provided. Projects can be taken home.
