Overview
Dickinson Parks & Recreation has partnered with the Best Friends Mentoring Program to offer a FREE program that promotes creative thinking and encourages kids to find their spark! The 2025 fall session will follow a new curriculum that focuses on emotional well-being and maximizing personal potential. Youth will participate in small group discussions, games, and activities that inspire connectedness, creative thinking, & positive mindset. This program will take place at Dickinson Middle School.
Requirements:
- Snacks will be provided.
- Program capacity will be determined by the number of volunteer mentors.
- Registration deadline: September 3, 2025
The STRONGkids Program in partnership with Best Friends Mentoring Program has received the North Dakota Recreation & Parks Association (NDRPA) 2024 Innovative Programming Award. The Innovative Programming Award recognizes and honors an NDRPA member agency or organization that demonstrates leadership with advanced groundbreaking ideas in programming.

Little Cooks
Enjoy making fun treats with your kids! Let your child's imagination run wild as they explore different ingredients and create edible art.
INSTRUCTIONS

Tiny Sports
This is a great introductory class for toddlers to socialize and learn how to play both individual and team sports. Activities include basketball, soccer, t-ball, dancing, yoga, running, and an exciting obstacle course—all designed to develop gross motor and social skills in a fun, supportive environment.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- No pre-registration required.
- Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Little Artists
In this class children ages 2-5 will be making a holiday themed craft. Participants will be able to work on their sensory and fine motor skills while getting messy! We provide the materials, the fun and the clean up!
