Overview

Dickinson Parks and Recreation offers a comprehensive, award winning safety education program sponsored in part by the Kiwanis Club.  Children will practice "real life" safety situations in a miniature "city".  They will have fun learning about safety in the following areas:  Pedestrian and bicycle safety, railroad crossings, animal safety, electrical safety, school bus safety, stranger danger, seat belts, pool safety, farm safety as well as calling 911 and what to do in an emergency situation.  Special guests from the community will make appearances to demonstrate the safety topics addressed each day.
