Youth Scholarships

Our aim is to help children lead active and healthy lives. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the Foundation offers scholarships to families in need of financial assistance. These scholarships can be applied to various areas, including:

  • DPR Programs
  • HRGC & WRCC Memberships
  • Travel Sports
  • Club Sports
  • Private Lessons
  • Performing Arts

We aim to ensure that no opportunity is missed. If you’re interested in a program that isn’t listed, please reach out to us. We also support other programs through partnerships with various entities and non-profit organizations. A list of these partners is available here.

Our Policy: The Dickinson Park District is committed to providing access to programs and facilities that encourage a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for the youth of Dickinson. We strive to offer equal opportunities to all, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability. We are proud to offer youth scholarships to those who need financial support.

Note: Full scholarships may be available if a signed letter of recommendation is provided by a caseworker, social worker, or another qualified individual along with the Scholarship Request Form. We can provide a template letter to assist with this process.

Eligibility: If you qualify for the federal school lunch assistance program and reside in Dickinson, each child under 18 years old is eligible for a youth scholarship during the following seasons:

  • August – March
  • April – July

You can apply for multiple programs within a single season. Each scholarship provides up to $200 in total awarded funds per child, per season (every 3 months). Families may request a scholarship for each child individually.
