Safety City

Safety city is a comprehensive safety education program sponsored by the Kiwanis club and United Way. Children will practice “real life” safety situations in a miniature “city” Children will have fun learning about safety in the following areas: fire, animal,bicycle, railroad crossings, electrical, poison control, school buses stranger danger, safety belts, as well as farm and water. Students will practice riding bikes and crossing streets in a miniature city setting. Limited spots available.

AGES:  4 – 6 (must be 4 by session end date)
DATES:  June 17 – 27
DAYS:  Monday – Thursday
TIMES:  9:00 – 11:30 am OR 1:00 – 3:30 pm
LOCATION:  West River Ice Center (1865 Empire Rd)
DEADLINE:  June 11 @noon
FEE:  $40

NEW! PARENT EDUCATION SESSIONS presented by Stacy Kilwein and Deb Theurer from the NDSU Extension and West Dakota Parent and Family Resource Center.  Parents with small children participating in Safety City or parents in the community are invited to attend the FREE sessions. Come join us and collaborate about raising children today.
