Raised near Valley City, ND, on a farm with a dairy, cattle, horses, and pigs, Greg Hager’s musical journey began at the age of 7 when he learned to play guitar and started writing songs. For the past 17 years, music has been his primary vocation. Greg shares at churches, and entertains at rodeos, city & regional concert series, banquets, festivals, county & state fairs, just to name a few. His music sells around the world and is regularly played on Internet and broadcast radio stations. In 2019, he signed with MFG Records in Nashville and released STATE OF MIND. The title track “State Of Mind” was the #1 song on the worldwide Western Music Charts for over 12 weeks. The album was in the top 30 for over 9 months. Greg made his 6^th concert tour to Japan in April 2026 – Singing western, Gospel, and cowboy songs. Most years he sings over 130 programs around the United States. Greg’s concert style that the industry calls “listening entertainment.” He uses original songs to weave a journey for every audience – Songs about life, living, love, cattle, country, and faith.

He has been twice nominated for induction into the North Dakota Cowboy Hall Of Fame for Western Arts & Entertainment, awarded the Entertainer of the Year in 2019 with the Cowboy Country Artist Association, awarded the Artist of the Year in 2021 with the Academy of Western Artists. He also has many nominations with the International Western Music Association. Greg was also nominated two times for the prestigious North Dakota Governor’s “Roughriders Award.”

Hager has recorded and released 11 albums. Six of his albums are “positive” Western-styled country story songs, one Christmas album, and three albums of Country Gospel. He has even released an EP in Japanese.
