ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: Dickinson Parks and Recreation Office
AGE REQUIREMENT: 18+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be responsible to assist the Finance/HR Manager in the accounting functions to include accounts receivable, accounts payable, human resources and other associated administrative functions. Monday – Friday.

ADULT SOFTBALL UMPIRE

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: Gress Softball Complex
AGE REQUIREMENT: 18+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be responsible for reporting to each scheduled softball game, starting on time and display control of games.  Individuals will be responsible to find a substitute if unable to be at scheduled game.  Weekday evening hours required.  Season runs:  May – August.

CONTROL DESK ATTENDANT

TYPE: Part-Time
LOCATION: West River Community Center
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be responsible for customer service and will be the first impression on customers. Other job duties include set-up of memberships, reservations, daily passes, completing member agreements, handling customer concerns, balancing the register at the beginning and end of every shift, setting up and tearing down for programs and special events, and light cleaning on a daily basis. Applicant must have a outgoing and friendly personality and be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.  Year-round position; Monday – Sunday.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTENDANT- OUTDOOR POOL

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: West River Community Center Outd
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be responsible for customer service and will be the first impression on customers. Job duties include attending to the day to day operations at the outdoor pool, selling of daily passes, balancing the register at the beginning and end of every shift, light cleaning on a daily basis and other duties as assigned. Applicant must have an outgoing and friendly personality and be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.  Seasonal position; End of May through Early September; Monday – Sunday.

GOLF MAINTENANCE

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: Heart River Golf Course
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be responsible for the general maintenance of Heart River Golf Course. Other duties include servicing and maintaining the equipment, surveying grounds, reporting damages, sharpening mower blades, and keeping mowing equipment clean and in safe operating conditions. Season runs: May – September.

GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: West River Community Center
AGE REQUIREMENT: 18+
JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Are you a fun, energetic person who loves to get other people excited about fitness?  The Group Fitness Department will be looking for instructors to join our staff in August and September.  If interested in employment, fill out an application you can pick one up at the front desk! LIFEGUARDS
Type: Part-Time/Seasonal
Location: West River Community Center
Job Description:
Individuals will be responsible for providing a safe environment at our pool facilities. Lifeguards will provide a positive image of the facility and its services by attentive, conscientious, and courteous behavior on the job. Other duties include watching swimmers through safe scanning practices, maintaining order in the pool areas, test and treat water accordingly, complete accident and rescue reports as necessary, perform CPR and first aid as needed as well as being trained to enforce safe operations of slides, ladders, and general pool use guidelines. Year-round position; Monday – Sunday.

OUTSIDE SERVICES

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: Heart River Golf Course
AGE REQUIREMENT: 14+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individual will be responsible for the general maintenance of the driving range. Other responsibilities include retrieving and washing range balls, general maintenance of the range ball picker, cleaning and staging rental carts, cleaning restrooms, and general cleanliness fo the front entrance areas of Heart River Golf Course. Individuals must have knowledge of the fundamentals, rules, and skills of golf as well as having a flexible schedule. Season runs May – September; Sunday – Saturday.

 

PATTERSON LAKE BOOTH ATTENDANT

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: Patterson Lake Recreation Area
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be responsible for the collection of daily, camping, and season pass fees. Individuals must be competent in handling money, competent computer, planning and good customer service skills. The booth is open 10am – 8pm seven days a week including all holidays and weekends Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend.

PRO SHOP ATTENDANT

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: Heart River Golf Course
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individual will be responsible for the overall supervision of the golf course. Other responsibilities include charging for green fees, cart rentals, driving range and general cleanliness of the pro shop, bag storage, and bathrooms between both buildings. Individuals must have knowledge of the fundamentals, rules, and skills of golf as well as having a flexible schedule. Season runs May – September; Monday – Sunday.

 

SPORTS MIXER INSTRUCTOR

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: West River Community Center
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be responsible for instructor children in a wide variety of sports and physical activities. Individuals will be responsible for knowing and teaching health and welness to children.

WATERSLIDE ATTENDANT

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: West River Community Center
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Individuals will be responsible for providing a safe environment for the pool patrons and promoting a positive image of the facility by being attentive, conscientious, and courteous on the job. Job duties include the enforcement of pool and facility rules, assisting in maintaining order in the pool and locker rooms, keeping the aquatics area clean, assisting in emergency action plans, and developing positive working relationships with other staff members. Year-round position; Monday – Sunday.

 

YOUTH PLAY PARK INSTRUCTOR

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: Local Parks
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be placed at local parks and be responsible for the instruction and assistance in various art projects with youth participants ages 4-7. This position requires extensive contact with youth/minors as well as adults. The program runs Monday – Thursday; June – July.

YOUTH SUMMER ART INSTRUCTOR

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: West River Ice Center
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be responsible for teaching and assisting in various art projects for youth participants ages 6-12. Class activities include, but not limited to, wire sculpture, cartoon drawing, clay work, water coloring, and more. The program runs Monday –Thursday; June – July.

YOUTH T-BALL INSTRUCTOR

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: North Complex Diamonds
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be assigned to instruct youth participants ages 5-6 in sportsmanship along with the fundamentals, rules, and skills of baseball. Individuals must also have the ability to communicate well with supervisors, youth, and parents as well as the capability to have extensive contact and interaction with youth as well as adults. Season runs June – July; Monday & Wednesday.

YOUTH T-BALL SUPERVISOR

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: North Complex Diamonds
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will supervise and coordinate t-ball activity at the assigned complex. Other responsibilities include utilizing the philosophy, policies, and procedures as set forth by the Dickinson Parks and Recreation District. Individuals must have knowledge of the fundamentals, rules, and skills of baseball. Season runs June – July; Monday & Wednesday.

YOUTH TENNIS INSTRUCTOR

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: DHS Outdoor Courts
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individuals will be assigned to instruct youth participants in sportsmanship along with the fundamentals, rules, and skills of tennis. Individuals must also have the ability to communicate well with supervisors, youth, and parents as well as the capability to have extensive contact and interaction with youth as well as adults. Season runs June – July; Monday – Wednesday.

YOUTH TENNIS SUPERVISOR

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: DHS Outdoor Courts
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individual will be responsible for coordinating and supervision of the summer youth tennis program.  Individual must have knowledge of the fundamentals, rules, and skills of tennis.  Other responsibilities include utilizing the philosophy, policies, and procedures as set forth by the Dickinson Parks and Recreation.  Season runs June – July.
