FACILITY CLEANING COORDINATOR

Type: Part-Time Year Round

Location:  Heart River Retreat

Job Description:  Individual will be responsible for the general cleanliness of the Heart River Retreat.  Morning hours are 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Monday through Sunday if needed depending on facilities reservations.  Individuals must be dependable and flexible with work schedules.  Must have attention to detail in making sure the facility is cleaned and ready for next reservation.

SPORTS MIXER COORDINATOR

Type: Part-Time/Seasonal
Location: West River Community Center
Job Description: To supervise and coordinate activity at the West River Community Center and Leisure Park Complex, utilizing the philosophy, policies, and procedures as set forth by the Dickinson Parks and Recreation District.

Job Specifications

  • Must have knowledge in dealing with and handling of youth in a socially interactive setting, as well as basic fundamentals of physical education.
  • Ability to communicate with and relate to supervisors, coaches, participants, and parents in a positive manner.
  • Must have good written and verbal skills.
  • Position requires extensive contact and interaction with youth/minors as well as adults.
  • Employee will be provided with a t-shirt which must be worn while on duty.

SPORTS MIXER INSTRUCTOR

Type: Part-Time/Seasonal
Location: West River Community Center
Job Description: This position will be assigned to instruct in the DPRD YAP Sports Mixer program. The DPRD philosophy and rules of the program must be followed at all times.

Job Specifications

GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR- SILVER SNEAKERS

Type: Part-Time
Location: West River Community Center

Job Discription:
Individuals will be responsible for organizing and instructing aerobic activities, classes, and participants. Other responsibilities include implementing and monitoring assigned programs, demonstrating specific skills and teaching techniques, preparing and completing all records and reports, monitoring correct techniques, and handling complaints, questions, and concerns. Monday – Sunday.

LIFEGUARDS

 Type: Part-Time/Seasonal
Location: West River Community Center
Job Description:
Individuals will be responsible for providing a safe environment at our pool facilities. Lifeguards will provide a positive image of the facility and its services by attentive, conscientious, and courteous behavior on the job. Other duties include watching swimmers through safe scanning practices, maintaining order in the pool areas, test and treat water accordingly, complete accident and rescue reports as necessary, perform CPR and first aid as needed as well as being trained to enforce safe operations of slides, ladders, and general pool use guidelines. Year-round position; Monday – Sunday.

WATER SLIDE ATTENDANTS

TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal
LOCATION: West River Community Center
AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Individuals will be responsible for providing a safe environment for the pool patrons and promoting a positive image of the facility by being attentive, conscientious, and courteous on the job. Job duties include the enforcement of pool and facility rules, assisting in maintaining order in the pool and locker rooms, keeping the aquatics area clean, assisting in emergency action plans, and developing positive working relationships with other staff members. Year-round position; Monday – Sunday.
