The Preschool Program provides children with their first pool experience without parental assistance in a safe, fun and positive learning environment. All 3 year olds new to our program must begin in Preschool A. Instructors may recommend a child repeat the same level several times as needed. All children must be potty-trained or wear a swim diaper before they enter this preschool program.
**PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE PRESENT IN THE POOL AREA DURING LESSONS.**
PRESCHOOL A - Children will practice submerging, floating, breath control and swimming skills while enjoying many fun games. They will also learn water safety. All skills will be done with support.
PRESCHOOL B - Children will participate in the same activities as Preschool A while gaining confidence in the water and beginning to do skills on their own.
PRESCHOOL C - This class is equivalent to Level 1 but designed to accommodate younger swimmers. Children who complete Preschool C may be eligible to begin with Level 2 once they reach age 6. Skills in this class are done unassisted. **There is a Prerequisite of Preschool A or B - child must have completed either A or B before they will be allowed to enroll in Preschool C.
