Water Aerobics
The West River Community Center offers water aerobics Monday through Friday at the West River Community Center. All water workouts are for men and women and begin with a stretching segment and end with a cool down. You need not be a swimmer to attend class.
Monday’s
Water Aerobics with Music (8:00-9:00 am) – This class begins with a brisk warm up, jogging in place and some arm exercises to get the heart rate up and try to sustain for at least 15 minutes. Using the edge of the pool for support you’ll also work on balance, good posture and deep breathing. The class ends with a cool down and stretch.
Water Aerobics (5:30 pm) – Moderate to high intensity workout using weights, bar bells and noodles.
Tuesday’s
Jump Start Your Day with Marie (8:00-9:00 am) - This class is designed to get your morning started, getting the blood flowing and the heart rate up. A lot of resistance work using the bar bells and a little weight work using the 1 pound dumbbells.
Water Aerobics (5:30 pm) – Moderate to high intensity workout using weights, bar bells and noodles.
Water Aerobics (7:00 pm) – High intensity workout using bar bells and weights.
Wednesday’s
Whacky Wednesday (8:00-9:00 am) – This class uses the blue bar bell floats for resistance.
Stretch to Music (9:15-9:45 am) – This class teaches you proper stretching while listening to relaxing music.
SilverSplash® (10:00-11:00 am) - This class is designed to help increase flexibility and range of movement, increase strength, improve balance and agility and increase muscular and cardiovascular endurance. A specially designed kickboard will be used to help with balance.
Water Aerobics (5:30 pm) – Moderate to high intensity workout using weights, bar bells and noodles.
Thursday’s
Jump Start Your Day with Marie (8:00-9:00 am) – This class is designed to get your morning started, getting the blood flowing and the heart rate up. A lot of resistance work using the bar bells and a little weight work using the 1 pound dumbbells.
Water Aerobics (5:30 pm) – Moderate to high intensity workout using weights, bar bells and noodles.
Water Aerobics (7:00 pm) – High intensity workout using bar bells and weights.
Friday’s
Aerobics Dance with the Music (8:00-9:00 am) – This class is designed to get your morning started, getting the blood flowing and the heart rate up while dancing to the upbeat and enthusiastic music.
